Conservation Technician

The Natural Resources Conservation Technician CPCC prepares students for temporary technician work in Natural Resource conservation and management.  Students will learn skills in forestry, range management, outdoor recreation management, wildlife conservation, water resource management, and noxious weed control. Students completing this Pathway Certificate will be employable by several state and federal agencies as well as by private industry.

Geospatial Analyst

The Geospatial Analyst CPCC prepares students for entry-level employment as a Geospatial Analyst for state and federal agencies as well as private industry.  Students will learn skills in map reading, cartography, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and land survey. Students will understand and follow complex project specific guidance.

Range and Forest Technician

The Range and Forest Technician Career Pathway prepares students for entry level employment in range and forest management. Students will learn skills in range inventory and monitoring, forest measurements, watershed management and improvement, plant id, recreation management, wildlife management, and basic fire effects.  Range and forest management provides habitat for a variety of plant and animal species, clean water, and sustainable grazing. Students will learn to inventory, classify, and monitor range and forest conditions to maintain or improve the health of these natural resources. Students completing this certificate will be employable by several state and federal agencies as well as private industry.

Wildland Fire Technician

The Wildland Fire Technician Career Pathway Certificate of Completion provides the skills necessary for entry level seasonal employment as a firefighter for public agencies or private contractors fighting fires throughout the west.
