Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) laid the groundwork for my future in the field of fisheries. The Natural Resources program at TVCC provides a well-rounded education, hands-on learning experience, and quality transfer opportunities that enabled me to obtain my M.S. position conducting lake whitefish research on Lake Michigan.

Current Job: Range Technician with the Forest Service

The Natural Resource program at TVCC provided me with the skills and valuable field experiences that allowed me to pursue opportunities as a Wildlife Habitat Technician with IDFG, Forestry Tech with the USFS, and my current position with the USFS as a Range Tech. The education gained through the NR program created the opportunities for me to thrive at Oregon State University and graduate with honors. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, with an emphasis on Forest Restoration & Habitat Conservation in 2021.

Treasure Valley Community College's Natural Resources Program provided me with a comprehensive education and taught me technical skills that built a foundation for me to thrive in my upper-level college courses and professional career.  The hands-on, outdoor learning that the Natural Resources Program provides through course labs are unique and invaluable. This program gave me the opportunity to network within the natural resource field, leading to job opportunities that have brought me to where I am today.
