General Agriculture

With our roots in rural Oregon, Treasure Valley Community College's agriculture programs keep pace with industry standards and state-of-the art technologies. Our courses are designed to help you learn the latest agriculture methods and techniques to increase production and profits.

TVCC's General Agriculture program gives students the option of creating an individual education plan that meets their specific career objectives. The flexibility of the general agriculture degree, as well as the broad foundation of the course work, allows you to complete a degree no matter what your previous skill level. This program has opportunities for the brand new student, as well as the experienced farmer or rancher.

As a student in TVCC's Agriculture program, you will:

  • Customize your curriculum by focusing on certification or developing an emphasis area in fields like animal sciences, crop and soil science and agricultural or ranch business management.
  • Develop professional traits, including leadership and communication skills.
  • Identify the agricultural career you are most interested in and design a course of study with a faculty advisor to better qualify you for your chosen profession.
